No matter what things are like for you at home, at
school, or anywhere else that you spend time hanging out, Out Youth is
a place where you can always feel safe to be yourself. The adults and
youth who are a part of Out Youth come from all different kinds of
backgrounds and have all had different experiences in our lives, but we
all believe in how important it is that everyone is allowed to be who
they are. Whether you are gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered,
intersexed, queer, questioning, or straight, or any combination ~ we
welcome you here!
To learn more about what it takes to become a part of
the Out Youth family, just follow the links at right. We hope to see
you soon at OY!
OY 101 ~ Intro to Out Youth
First
Sunday of the Month at 4 pm
Are you new to Out Youth? Curious about the norms
and programs and who's who around the Out House? The Youth
Advisory Council members and other youth who've been around for a while
can answer your questions, introduce you around, give you a tour, and
welcome you to The Family.
National Coming Out
Day is an internationally-observed civil awareness day for
coming out and discussion about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender
(LGBT) issues. It is observed every year by members of the LGBT
communities and their allies on October 11, or October 12 in the United
Kingdom. Watch this space for news of our 2010 celebration events.
